Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7– the widely proclaimed iPhone killer, is up in flames. In a disastrous 2016 for Samsung, the Note 7 debacle has sunk the Korean giant’s market value by shedding over $21 billion just in the first week of recalls in September.
The Note 7 ended up being a threat to the very people who anticipated and adored it. This was due to a fault in the battery that caused it to burst into flames and even explode!
From memes to bans from commercial airlines, Samsung was pressured to recall all Note 7 devices in circulation. However, the problem persisted and more injuries were reported.
